Hello and welcome to JewelryDistinction.com. On this page you get to meet me, Brenda New, the designer. I am a self-taught jewelry designer who found her passion in this artform seven years ago after stumbling into a bead shop while visiting St. Louis. My life hasn't been the same since that time.
What started out as a hobby, quickly grew into a business. It seemed that everywhere I went, people wanted to buy the jewelry that I was wearing!
Since that time I have sold my handmade beaded jewelry in high-end boutiques, Bloomingdale's in Orlando, gift shops, hotels, art shows, individual shows, an art gallery, and online from my previous website, UptownJewelry.com. Most evenings, and in much of my spare time, you will find me either in my jewelry studio, online working on this website, or looking for interesting beads to buy! As a life-long creator and crafter since age 12, my initial craft involved a love of fabric and included all kinds of needlework and sewing. By the 9th grade, I was sewing many of my own clothes! My other hobbies have included creating recipes and decorating.

Many of my jewelry items are inspired by apparel that I have either purchased or noticed in a store or boutique. Also, this handmade beaded jewelry is custom made to order. I believe it is important that your jewelry is sized to fit you, so I offer a wide range of sizes custom made for you, including plus sizes.

Q. How much are your shipping costs?
A. All orders over $50.00 will be shipped free of charge by USPS priority mail. You can select UPS ground shipping for a cost of $8.00 or overnight delivery by USPS for $18.00. Overnight delivery is available after order is completed within the 5 to 7 days of placing your order.
Q. Is shopping on this website secure?
A. Yes. This is a Yahoo sponsored website and your ecommerce transaction and payment, and communication is private and secure. This website also has the Hacker Safe assurance and is checked daily for vulnerabilities. We offer PayPal in addition to credit card payment for your protection.
Q. How do I care for my jewelry?
A. Since much of this handmade beaded designer jewelry contains crystals or glass, it suggested that you not wear it during sports, while sleeping, and it is recommended that you take it off while bathing or doing housework where it can get wet. Although this handcrafted jewelry is sturdy, tarnishing of the silver and gold can be accelerated if worn repeatedly in the shower or tub. It is suggested that you keep this jewelry in closed zip lock type plastic bags when not wearing it, to keep oxidation at a minimum. Please clean your handmade jewelry with a jewelry cloth. Do not dip your beaded jewelry in jewelry cleaner since it may remove any of the antique look of some of the silver and gold.
Q. Will all handmade beaded designer jewelry be identical to the jewelry shown in the photographs?
A. Yes. Most of the handcrafted jewelry will be identical, however, due to discontinued beads, some beads might be substituted occasionally. This will not change the overall look of your jewelry products. You will be pleased with the appearance and quality of our jewelry.
Q. Can I make a special request, change sizes or substitute colors or beads in your jewelry designs?
A. Please email your request prior to ordering, and you will be emailed back with an answer immediately.
Q. Can I pay by personal check or money order?
A. Only payment via PayPal or credit card is accepted through the shopping cart on this website.
Q. Can I cancel my order after I place my order?
A. Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of placing your order via email to admin@jewelrydistinction.com. Since this jewelry is custom made to order, cancellations after the 24 hour window will not be accepted and your money cannot be refunded.
